
Some new units have been added, numerous units have been altered, numerous COs have been balanced. 34 missions have been designed and created to serve as a new campaign. It tells an original sequel story to Advance Wars 2 and assumes familiarity with the gameplay. He'd actually hack Advance Wars 2 so that he could tell his Advance Wars Story in the purest way possible through the game itself! No, instead, he decided he'd go the distance. However, there was something thoroughly unsatisfying about just writing a fanfic and publishing it on some fanfiction website where it'd likely not be read a lot. It would serve as a sequel-story to Advance Wars 2, which tied up a couple loose ends and ultimately would give a better sense of closure than the current ending did, he hoped. It features a campaign mode, which contains the bulk of the character interactions and story in the game. The battle itself takes place through turn-based tactics, where one commands their entire army before the other, seeking to capture properties to gain the funds to produce stronger units than the opponent. They take place in the world where war is fun and lightweight, where dimwitted kids can be fearsome battlefield commanders and the COs (commanding officers) are as varied as they are amusing. As well as all of these new COs there was a major change to CO powers, all COs gained a normal CO power and a stronger Super CO power (Except Sturm who lost his CO power, only gaining a Super CO power).Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising is the sequel to Advance Wars, both for Game Boy Advance. All Forces gained at least one CO, though Black Hole gained an extra four. As they are only usable by Black Hole, the actual player cannot ever use them.Īdvance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising also brought with it several new COs. They vary a lot, though a good example is the Black Cannon.

Along with Flak, Lash, and Adder, Hawke leaves Macro Land with the few troops he has leftĪs with every Advance Wars series game to date, Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising featured a new Unit, the Neotank. Afterwards, Hawke takes over as leader of Black Hole. However, just as it seems Andy will be killed, Hawke, second only to Sturm himself, betrays his leader by killing him with Black Storm, his Super CO Power. Andy steps forward to stop Sturm, to no avail. The Allied Nations COs disarm the missile and corner Sturm, who attempts to blow up the base and kill everyone by self-destructing the missile. The final battle takes place in front of the Death Ray, a powerful new weapon guarding the entrance to a missile, which, in 30 days, will destroy half of Wars World. Near the end of the campaign, when the Black Hole COs have been driven from the nations of Wars World, the COs meet up in Black Hole's base of operations, where they fight Sturm one last time. The four armies must now work together to drive Black Hole out of their world once and for all.

Sturm, with an ominous new look, orders each Black Hole CO to invade and capture each of the four countries owned by the four other armies from the original game: Flak is assigned to take Orange Star, Lash to take Blue Moon, Adder to take Yellow Comet, and Hawke to take Green Earth. Along with the original Black Hole army's COs, four new COs were recruited, under the command of Sturm. Lash has also invented several new war weapons that are put to use in this invasion. While the Allied Nations were still recovering from the war in Cosmo Land, the Black Hole Army has already recovered and is launching a large-scale invasion of Macro Land.
